The Land Rover Defender enjoys a cult like following in North America. This is at least partly due to the fact that it was only imported for a few years in the mid 1990s. Depicted here it looks right at home in the Colorado Desert. In the foreground a view through the upside down arches of the Coachella Valley Savings and Loan building. Designed by Stewart Williams and built in 1961, the building is an excellent example of Mid-century modern architecture.
